Breaking waves
waves drown
drown fear
fear bound.
***
Soul aches
aches deep
deep endless
endless sleep.
***
Chasing silence
silence screams
screams echo
echo dreams.
***
Find peace
peace inside
inside voices
voices cry.
***
Still heart
heart free
free me
beneath the sea.
I really enjoyed this poem – I am not a poet but I love the style. Is there a word for this type of style? I thought it was really creative and that it flowed beautifully. π

Thank you! I’m not sure what this writing style is called. (wish I knew the proper poem lingo!) I just kept typing small rhythmic lines until it turned into this. My emotions are deep right now, so simplicity seemed the best option.

Simplicity is good – sometimes it can become too complicated! I just wondered if there was a particular style as you have used the last word as the first word of the next line. If you just typed it randomly without being aware then kudos to you! π

Yes! I thought it was a unique way of letting out ‘simply’ my deepest emotional moment of today. I wish my randomness took this form new often. π

I was just about to ask if this form had a name. This is brilliant.

Very much appreciated! I’m looking for similar styles to see what the proper description/name is. If there is none, I wonder what I should call it…..hmmm…

If you don’t happen to find one, I have a suggestion! A “Quillion Reverb”… No? :p No one has ever accused me of cleverness in titles… Hopefully it doesn’t have a name so you can claim it! π

This form is called, “Chain Verse” poetry (damn you Google). I had no idea! I still think “Quillion Reverb” is way more awesome. Don’t you think? π
